- 1.) Introduce yourself! What kind of art do you make?
- Hi hiiii I’m Beatrice! I specialize in Anime Style Illustrations, Live2D Rigging, Stream Assets, Video Production and Character Design.
- 2.) How long have you been making art?
- Long as I can remember, started taking it seriously when I was 12 or 13.
- 3.) How many hours do you spend for each piece?
- Depends, sometimes I doodle in minutes, or render for days.
- 4.) Do you prefer taking your time or do you like to quickly move on to the next thing?
- I take my time to learn in a piece when it’s needed, but I have so many ideas I always want to move to the next thing as soon as it’s done!
- 5.) When do you decide a piece is finished?
- When it looks finished? That’s kinda a hard question to answer.
- 6.) What part of the creation process do you enjoy the most?
- The start, I love all of the ideas and putting a concept together but seeing the finished result is awesome too.
- 7.) What part of the creation process do you dislike the most?
- Time it takes to render, looks amazing but takes so long. Getting everything set up right at certain angles can be a pain in the butt too.
- 8.) Do you have a designated workstation or do you just work wherever?
- I have an office but I work from bed and stuff too when my back can’t take being at a desk anymore.
- 9.) Do you monetize your work or is it purely a hobby?
- It’s my job! I don’t make full time pay but i hope to someday!
- 10.) Where do you share your work? On social media or personal website? Do you keep to yourself and close friends?
- I share everything i do lol I got a website and lots of socials but my main for art is twitter.
- 11.) What's an aspect of your art you enjoy?
- I render tummes really well but idk why, I really like getting the eyes done because it really gives the character life.
- 12.) What are things you would like to improve on?
- Everything lol but backgrounds that are indoors with furniture specifically.
- 13.) Are you self-taught or had formal education?
- I did go to college but learned nothing there and dropped out, I’ve learned far more from self study than I ever had in school or college.
- 14.) Do you research about old techniques or stick to newer ones?
- I don’t know what’s considered an old or new.
- 15.) What do you value more, experimentation or mastery?
- You have to experiment to master so I feel it goes hand in hand.
- 16.) Do you practice drawing from the arm? What other art techniques to you practice?
- I have a big tablet so I can do this, I’m sure I know many but have no clue what to name them.
- 17.) How frequently do you do studies?
- Every piece I make I try to study at least something.
- 18.) Do you understand color theory? How'd you learn or do you want to?
- I do a bit, learned it from Rinotuna.
- 19.) Favorite color(s)?
- Hard to choose but Orange, Purple, Green, halloween-y colors lol
- 20.) Are there colors you avoid? Do you think ugly colors exists?
- I try to avoid a type of yellow brown because it kinda looks like poop lol
- 21.) Can you do perspective?
- Everyone can with enough study and refs!
- 22.) Do you like doing lineart? How do you go about it?
- I used to do a solid line for it but now I keep my opacity on, it helps with line weight.
- 23.) Do you have multiple unfinished projects? Will you ever get to finishing them?
- Yes and yes, even if it takes years I will get back to prior projects unless I no longer like the idea and actively dislike it which is very very rare.
- 24.) How do you start a new piece? Do you have a plan or just figure it along the way?
- I start with an idea, make a mind map, etc. depending on the piece.
- 25.) How do you handle art block?
- I draw stuff anyway, I’m a workaholic so blocks don’t really stop me much lol
- 26.) Do you listen to music or watch something while working?
- Yeah, I like watching funny things like markiplier or shows because it helps me feel less lonely. Music can work but I really have to be in the mood or else I realize how fast time is going the more songs that go by.
- 27.) When are you most motivated to create? In the morning or evening? Rainy or sunny?
- Evening after some food on a sunny day but a cool one.
- 28.) Are your sketchbooks messy or aesthetically pleasing?
- I haven't used mine in years lol
- 29.) Do you like showing sketchbooks to others?
- I used to I think
- 30.) Do you have any art friends? IRL or online?
- Nope lol I know some but we don’t talk anywhere near enough to be like friend friends? I don’t get reached out to so I’m not 100% sure we’re still friends until I talk to them again lol
- 31.) Do you collaborate frequently with your friends? Is there something you'd like to work on together?
- I’ve never collabed on a piece before QAQ
- 32.) Have you created art to gift to others? How do feel about parting away from your work?
- I make things for people so I’m fine parting with it, I don’t get emotionally connected to pieces since I make most stuff to share more than for myself.
- 33.) Have you drawn for someone else? Like commissions or requests? Did you enjoy it?
- Heck yeah, love when my work makes people smile!!

- Alright, could be worse or better lol
- 35.) Have you ever been injured making art?
- I’m sure I’ve gotten paper cuts and stuff at some point.
- 36.) What's a medium of art you've wanted to try / currently attempting?
- I want to attempt more pixel art, it looks so nice but as someone who started with highly detailed realism it’s hard to decide what detail to not have.
- 37.) Do you prefer stylized or realistic art?
- I like different kinds
- 38.) Do you like hyper-realistic art?
- I think it’s super cool
- 39.) Do you like abstract art?
- Depends on what it is. Paint splatters by a 4 year old? Nah. Strange oil machine that brooms it back to itself? Pretty cool.

- Idk tbh
- 41.) How do you feel about outsider art? Do you think you fall in that category?
- Had to google that, don’t think that needs a label, feels the same as self taught. They probably use normal methods that are typically taught on their own without knowing.
- 42.) Do you follow art trends?
- Heck nah, I do NOT like trends, I think the fomo and stuff around it is super unhealthy.
- 43.) Do you think your art is influenced by what's currently popular?
- Nah, I just want to make pretty anime art, I have no particular influence aside from Rinotuna.
- 44.) Do you compare yourself with others? Does it affect you negatively?
- Yes I do and no it just helps me want to get better. No point being sad I suck, I’m going to use that time to get better.
- 45.) Your controversial art take?
- Keep nsfw art on nsfw sites, keep it off twitter and stuff that also has kids. Yes you’ll get less engagement and stuff but even with tons of nsfw tags and accounts blocked, I still manage to come across it uncensored. If I can see it, kids can too.
- 46.) Art related pet peeves?
- Just use a reference for the love of god, it’s fine, it’s not cheating, professionals do it, and they even trace sometimes too. Most webtoon artists trace 3D models and stuff, it’s fine. It’s not like you’re trying to sell it as this special original for a million bucks, make life easier for yourself, block the brain dead people saying otherwise.

- Mostly Rinotuna because his understanding of design is so good and he can draw many different styles.

- Me lol
- 49.) Have you touch grass recently? Do you go out frequently or do you spend most of your time indoors?
- I spend most of my time indoors solely because I don’t make much and have to work all the time to try and grow but i love the outdoors dearly.
- 50.) Do you create art daily?
- I’m sure I have days where I only rig or work on videos but just about daily.
- 51.) Do you take breaks from creating? How frequently?
- Nope, never have. I’ve never been on a vacation in my entire life lol even in school my dad got me extra work so I never truly had time off.
- 52.) Do you set deadline for your work?
- ASAP, I work on it until it’s done. Sometimes I juggle a few but any of my projects get pushed aside for commissions.
- 53.) Do you archive your work? Do you keep old pieces?
- I used to use twitter as one but it changed as x so a good amount of my early stuff was lost so i use tumblr and vgen now.
- 54.) Are you embarrassed of your old work? Or are you indifferent by it?
- Embarrassed because a lot could be fixed so easy, i was just stupid lol
- 55.) Do you seek out criticism? How do you handle feedback?
- I have no need for any, I am always aiming to improve regardless. I’d rather not have any because most work I do is under a time constraint and can affect the outcome regardless of my skills or intention.
- 56.) Are you harsh on your own work? Or do you love your work despite all it's flaws?
- It’s okay, I don’t think too much about it and focus on getting better.

- I have a lovely community so yes and I love them c:

- I am apolitical, I use the internet to escape thinking about those things, I have my own thoughts and act on things in my own life but I am here to relax and have fun. Please respect that.

- Lol I mentioned this earlier, just go for it, anybody who whines about it doesn’t really care, they just need something to complain about.

- Both the same, I lean away from fanart now because fandoms are so rabid these days.
- 62.) Do you think original content are more creative than fanart?
- No, people go insane with fanart sometimes

- I guess? I just make things, if it crosses with something someone else made oh well.
- 64.) Do you draw from imagination or heavily rely on references?
- Depends on the piece, if I know how to draw it well I don’t need any, if not I need a lot.

- No, not everybody has the room in their brain to memorize how everything looks from texture to how it acts in certain lighting.

- Not really, I do a little I guess with design

- It looks neat, story if its an oc sometimes

- No, not everything needs to mean something.

- I draw my cat when I can’t seem to get things right

- Depends what, I could probably win a fight with a feather.

- I stick to anime but I always try and improve, I like trying other kinds though and can be pretty good at it.

- Art itself is a skill, but you need the talent of being okay with failing over and over and staying dedicated to the craft despite slow or no growth for months or years to gain more skill in art.

- I’d love to doodle my cat all day lol

- Lol what the heck? People try drawing others styles all the time, people usually mix a lot to make their own. It’s fine, who thinks it's stealing? Lol that’s so weird.

- I don’t go, am poor

- I have lots of old ones that are pricey but I use digital. Tablet and photoshop are expensive though.

- Yea
- 83.) Do you clean up after a project? Or do you just leave everything lying around till you need the space?
- I clean it up unless I am late for something but I clean it when i get back.
- 84.) Do you have a ritual before you start creating? Do you have a drink or some snacks?
- I didn’t know people even did that.
- 85.) How do feel about censorship in art? Where do you draw the line for inappropriate art?
- Just don’t post lewd stuff on sites that also allow kids, if it’s like a greek statue where they’re just lying pretty but nakey alright, but all blushy with lidded eyes and stuff put that on an adult site. Not everyone wants to see that, and sites aren’t the best at keeping it away from those who shouldn’t see it’s on you to be responsible and post it on adult only sites. If it wouldn’t be allowed in a public space, don’t share it on a public website. Keep it strictly to adult only spaces, not mingled ones.

- No but some people think just because I draw anime characters with tummy or big booba that it needs to be even though I’m a sfw person.

- Nope

- If my brain starts dying when I’m old yeah but I study a lot so it shouldn’t

- I don’t have much time so my projects aren’t as grand as I wish them to be

- A bit yeah, comes with the territory.

- I want to make a full on rpg game, I want to start on it but I need to learn a lot more.

- If I can stop time and I don’t age in it, time. I would stop for thousands of years so make so many manga and animate entire shows myself.

- I need to, I simply just can’t not.

- I guess, I don’t hate it but I have lots to improve on. It’s hard to be happy with myself with my ptsd.

- No. Some people really hate it, I think you should try but if you hate it, just stop and do what makes you happy instead.
- 99.) What's advice you'd give to newer artist?
- Hobbiest? Do whatever. Want it as a job? Get a study file from an artist you like if you can, seeing how they do it up close really helps.

- Time of day? 1am lol was okay, some questions really confused me and think there could be better ones more related to the creation process than the art world.
